GISST swimming competition at ISF

ISF hosted the Annual GISST Swimming Championships last weekend, from January 31 to February 2, 2020.

Athletes from seven international schools from Munich, Berlin, Dresden, Nuremberg, Stuttgart and Düsseldorf arrived at ISF on Friday, when the first of more than 700 single events and almost 80 relays started. In a highly contested field, the ISF Varsity Girls arrived third, and the Varsity Boys finished second. The team of U14 Girls won sixth place, the U14 Boys finished second.

ISF athletes won 11 bronze medals, 24 silver medals and 9 gold medals, which allowed our school to win third place in the competition. 

The first two finalists are Berlin International School and Bavarian International School. Congratulations to all athletes!

Both Friday and Saturday were great days full of exciting races. A big thank you goes out to all helpers, from referees to coaches, from parents to students and paramedics. Together, they ensured that all participants had a good time.

We hope to see all of you again at the next GISST Tournament.
