Three Acceptances to Cambridge for ISF Students

This has been yet another highly impressive year at ISF in terms of the external examination results of our 2015 Graduating Class.

Sixty-four students took the International Baccalaureate Diploma while 14 students took Advanced Placement examinations.

All students graduated with the ISF High School Diploma.

Sixty-two students (97%) were awarded the full IB Diploma. Two students took certificates. The average score obtained by ISF students who passed the diploma was 34 and the average grade obtained by candidates who passed the diploma was 5.36. The highest score this year was 44.

Forty-six of our students earned the prestigious bilingual diploma and 28 students qualified for the Abitur equivalent, enabling them to study in Germany.

Fourteen ISF students took Advanced Placement examinations. 93% of them obtained Grades 3 – 5. 49% of the grades achieved were the top Grade 5. The average Grade was 3.5.

In Grades 10 and 11, 91 students took the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) examinations. 90% gained passing scores and 49% achieved a top score of A  or A*.

IGCSE Examinations were taken in twenty subjects. Top scores of A or A* were achieved by all students who took IGCSE Examinations Chemistry, Foreign Language German, Foreign Language Spanish, Music and Physics.

The excellent IB and AP results have enabled our students to progress to some of the most prestigious universities in the world. In the UK three students have been accepted by the University of Cambridge. Other offers have come from Imperial College London, the University of Edinburgh, the University of St. Andrews and various colleges in the University of London.

In the USA offers have come from Michigan State University, Purdue University and George Washington University. Closer to home in the Netherlands, students have received offers from TU Eindhoven, Universiteit Maastricht and University of Amsterdam. The application cycle for German, Korean and Japanese universities is still in progress.

Our students could not have achieved these exceptional results without the work and support of our dedicated and highly professional teachers and the commitment, and focus of our students themselves.

These wonderful academic results again this year bear witness to the tremendous power of the  SABIS® educational system, which enables ISF students to fulfil their potential and prepares them  for their futures in university and beyond.
