Great Family Day Out at ISF Sommerfest
On Saturday, May 20th our annual Summerfest took place. Parent Network and in particular, our International Rep, Ms Scheuer, put in a lot of effort organizing Taste of the World which was very successful.
With 14 countries selling traditional food, visitors were able to sample culinary delicacies from around the world. We had traditional favorites as well as a few new dishes: pancakes from Canada, Rote Grüze from Germany and traditional Ghanaian food from a family who joined ISF very recently. A few dishes from some countries such as Canada, France, and Germany were also prepared by one family. All of the countries, as well as Parent Network and their helpers, put in a lot of work. The countries were very creative in their dishes and nearly all of the countries were sold out in the afternoon. Ms Scheuer and Parent Network would like to thank all of the parents involved for the wonderful range of food and for all of their hard work.
This year the PE Department and ISF Sportverein organized various sporting activities. Students could participate in basketball, beach tennis, soccer, and volleyball. Of course, we also had the obstacle course which is always very popular with the younger children.
