Where Students Belong, Grow, and Excel Through Sport
At ISF – Where the World Feels Like Home – sport is about much more than competition. It is one of the ways students build friendships, develop confidence, and become part of our international community.
For many students joining ISF, sport provides an immediate sense of connection and belonging. Whether on the soccer pitch, in the swimming pool, on the tennis court, or representing ISF in competition, students learn to work together, support one another, and celebrate shared success.

Sport as Part of a Well-Rounded Education
As a leading international school in Frankfurt, ISF believes that sport is an essential part of a balanced education. Through participation in athletics, students develop resilience, leadership, teamwork, discipline, and a lifelong commitment to health and well-being.
These experiences complement academic learning by helping students build confidence, manage challenges, and develop the mindset needed to succeed both inside and outside the classroom.
"Sport is one of the most powerful classrooms we have. Every student deserves the opportunity to discover their potential through sport, developing the confidence, character, and resilience needed to thrive both in school and beyond. The ISF Sports Academy is designed to inspire participation, excellence, and a lifelong commitment to health and well-being."
– Dr. Carlos Puente Torres, ISF Athletic Director

Opportunities for Every Student
The ISF Sports Academy is designed to provide opportunities for students of all ages, interests, and ability levels.
With more than 60 activity slots available throughout the year, students can participate recreationally, develop new skills, or pursue competitive opportunities. Whether a student is discovering a new sport for the first time or striving to compete at a high level, every ISF student is encouraged to challenge themselves, set goals, and continue growing.

Competitive Excellence - GISST
ISF students regularly compete in local and regional competitions and represent the school through the German International Schools Sports Tournament (GISST).
As one of the most successful GISST member schools, ISF has earned a strong reputation for both performance and sportsmanship. These experiences allow ISF students to compete against leading international schools in Germany while developing confidence, resilience, and leadership.
Success is measured not only by trophies and medals, but by the character, teamwork, and determination students develop along the way.
