The German-Asian Business Circle Visits ISF

On Thursday 3d March, ISF was pleased to host a conference organised by the Deutsch-Asiatischer Wirtschaftskreis (DAW: The German-Asian Business Circle). This conference was on the theme of how cultural misunderstandings can have a detrimental effect on business and how to avoid masking these mistakes The title was of the event was, “Das verlorene Gesicht oder der schnellste Weg ins Fettnäpfchen“ or “How to lose face or put your foot in it”.
Mr. Slesser welcomed over fifty guests who included members of the ISF board, ISF parents and staff members as well as representatives of the Frankfurt business and diplomatic circles. Mr Slesser said that ISF, as an international school and a proud member of the SABIS® Network which educates students in fifteen different countries over four continents, was in the business of promoting international understanding and was very happy to host such an event.
Mr Bodo Krüger, President of DAW and Honorary Consul General of Nepal, then introduced the panellists who were, Dr. Sung-Hee Lee from Korea; Dr. Ajit Singh Sikand from India; Mr. Luat Nguyen from Vietnam and Mrs. ZENG Min from China. A most interesting presentation and discussion ensued, followed by an informal reception.
ISF hopes to offer the opportunity to attend more such events to our community in the future.
