Success for ISF badminton players
Badminton U14 GISST at St. George's International School Düsseldorf.
The annual U14 GISST badminton tournament took place at the end of November at St. George's International School Düsseldorf.
Our 8 U14 boys and girls competed against 9 other schools from all over Germany. All of them did a great job and had a lot of fun. Our girls took the 9th place, while our boys won the tournament. In addition, the boys won all individual prizes like the best first seed double, the best second seed double, the best first seed single, the best second seed single, the best third seed single and the best fourth seed single. The tournament was a great experience for all the players and we are looking forward to taking part in the Badminton GISST next year.
Badminton Varsity GISST at Berlin International School
On Saturday, the 28th of November our 8 Varsity boys and girls travelled to Berlin to take part in the annual Varsity GISST badminton tournament.
10 teams from different international schools from all over Germany competed to become the 2015 champions. The girls did very well, but became 10th place. The boys headed into the final, where they lost against Dresden International School after an exciting match. The tournament was a great experience for the whole team and we are very proud of them.
