ISF students participate in Zürich Model United Nations

Last weekend, ten students from Grades 10 and 11 attended a Model United Nations Conference in Zürich, Switzerland as part of SLO®. The theme of the conference was “Borders” and the event began with a panel discussion on this topical theme. Students were then divided into their committees and spent the rest of the weekend debating various topics, such as “Protecting cultural items during war”; “Internationally operating terrorist groups”, and “Religious tolerance as a human right”. Our students performed very well at the conference and represented our school with distinction. Three of our students, Lucas B., Paul L. and Shreeman A. participated in the higher level university conference and impressed their university Chairs with their level of knowledge and their engagement. The conference organized several social events and there was also some to enjoy the local surroundings. Students had a very enjoyable time, learned a great deal and made many new friends from around the world.
