Run-a-thon

After being postponed by a week due to inclement weather, the Run-a-thon took place on Wednesday, 30th September.  It was a great success with many students participating.  Students took part in running and sponge throwing, tackled an obstacle course and enjoyed a barbecue.  The student who ran the furthest was Aki Basogiannis, in 7B with an amazing 42 laps.  Not far behind was Leonis Tartakovskaia, in 5A with an excellent total of 41 laps.  The obstacle course was completed in a very speedy 28 seconds by Ipek Drein and Mick Rossol in 3A.  Students could also buy tickets to throw sponges in the teachers.  Almost €600 was raised for the charity, Special Olympics, which is dedicated to helping handicapped children.  If you still have outstanding money, please return it to the SLO® office as soon as possible.  We would like to thank everyone who helped to make this event such a success and in particular our wonderful SLO® team.
