Cambridge Offers for Two ISF Students Back ISF continues to be successful in receiving offers from one of the top universities in the world. The University of Cambridge, which was founded in 1209, stands at number two in the Times Top 200 World University rankings and is also a member of the prestigious Russell Group universities in the UK. This year four of our top students applied to Cambridge, three were called for interview and two students have received offers. Moritz Von H. has been offered a place at King’s College Cambridge to study Computer Science and Eleanor S. has been offered at place at Magdalene College to study Natural Sciences. Moritz joined ISF in Grade 5. In addition being an outstanding student academically Moritz has been an impressive athlete, regularly representing ISF as a member of the Varsity Track & Field team. Moritz demonstrated his strong sense of social responsibility travelling to Macedonia in February 2017 to volunteer as part of Habitat for Humanity’s project, building houses for homeless people. Finally, reflecting his great love for Mathematics he participated with distinction in the Mathematikturnier in Bonn. Eleanor S. joined ISF in Grade 6 and her intense love and remarkable aptitude for Biology and Chemistry has been apparent for some years. Eleanor’s incredible drive to learn more about science led her to complete internships at the world renowned Max Planck Institute and the University Hospital here in Frankfurt. Eleanor is also a very talented musician, playing violin, piano and singing, performing regularly in orchestras and choirs as well as being a regular part of our salon concerts here in school. Particular thanks should go to Mr. Williams who assisted both students with their UK University applications and to all of our ISF teachers who have taught them over the years. Yet again, the tremendous achievements of our students serve to highlight the power of the SABIS® system here in ISF.
