Alex M., 11B, has qualified for the German Olympic Trials and German National Swimming Championships. Remarkably he achieved the qualification time for the 200m butterfly, which was his personal goal for this year. Alex has made steady progress through the years, winning medals in GISST, ESC, the Regional, the State, the South German and then finally the German age group and British long-distance championships, but this last achievement is something extra special!
Alex knows that he has only a very slim chance of being selected to go to the Olympic Games in Rio, but for a 16 year old, to have won the chance to qualify is incredible! It shows to us all, that ISF is not only an excellent academic school, but with hard work, we can also achieve sporting excellence.
