Bundesjugendspiele – German Federation Youth Games

On Friday 13th May, all of our Grade 1-4 pupils had great fun participating in different athletic activities organised under the auspices of the Bundesjugendspiele.
The children took part in four activities: Running around the track; a Jumping Challenge; Ball Throwing and a Slalom Run. Each child`s performance in each event was measured and points were awarded. At the end of the day all of the children received an official certificate, which celebrated their performances in the various activities.
We were lucky enough to enjoy beautiful sunny weather and the children all participated very eagerly and well in each of the activities.
We would like to thank Mr. Scholz-Beitz and our PE teachers for their organisation and work on the day. We would also like to thank Ms. Jarque and our team of Grade 1-4 teachers who made the day such great success. We would also like to thank the large team of parent volunteers who helped us greatly on the day. In particular, we would like to thank Ms. Slavik, whose initiative this was and who played such a large role in ensuring that the event was so successful and enjoyable for all.
Finally, we would like to congratulate all of our pupils in Grade 1-4 who demonstrated that not only are they excellent academic students but that they could be the sporting stars of tomorrow. Well done everyone!
