Annual GISST Swimming Tournament
We are very proud of our results from the Annual GISST Swimming tournament at the end of January! 142 swimmers from 7 different International Schools in Germany competed in U18 and U14 teams.
ISF won the U14 boys, Varsity boys and Varsity Girls tournament. Our young U14 Girls team achieved 3rd place and we are very happy to announce that ISF won overall.
Thanks to very intense swim team training and personal committment of our swimmers, nearly every ISF swimmer achieved personal bests and the following GISST records have been broken: Alexander M., VB 50m fly and 200m Freestyle. Ayeong Y., Alicia W., Abigail B. and Valerie B. broke a new Varsity Girls GISST record in the 4 x 50 m Medley Relay.
We had a triple win in the 100 Freestyle Varsity boys: with Erinc H. in 1st place, Yannis B. in 2nd place and Florian J. in 3rd place.
Sincere thanks go to all ISF Swimmers, their coaches , housing representative Viviane S., and co-coaches, ISF staff and to all ISF parents who donated food and helped us in so many ways.
On behalf of ISF, Sportsverein and visiting athletes, we would like to give the Biggest THANK YOU to all of ISF families who housed the visiting 107 students. The housing team were very privileged to work with such a warm, organized and supportive group of parental volunteers who tremendously helped making the job of housing the athletes run smoothly. Extra special thanks go to ISF families who had to take the students to the school on icy roads on Saturday morning. In particular, we appreciated the special support from family L. who offered10 beds in their hotel again.
