At ISF, we offer our students in grades 10 and 11 the opportunity to take International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) examinations. These exams are offered by Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) in the U.K.
Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) is reputed to be the world’s largest provider of international qualifications for students aged 14 to 19. IGCSEs are recognized by leading universities and employers worldwide and are seen as an international passport to progression and success. Developed over 25 years ago, Cambridge IGCSEs are tried, tested and trusted by schools worldwide.
We believe that it is very beneficial for our students to take public examinations not only because they are excellent academic qualifications but because the exams provide the first taste of public examinations (Those marked by external markers and with external recognition) for most of them.
Last year, ISF students took IGCSE examinations in 20 different subjects: Art & Design, Biology, Business Studies, Chemistry, Economics, First Language (English, German, Japanese and Korean), English as a Second Language, English Literature, Foreign Language (French, German and Spanish), History, Information and Communication Technology, Mathematics, Music, Physical Education, and Physics.
